What is EAP?
Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an assistance plan to offer confidential professional counselling services to employees to help resolve problems that affect their personal life and may affect work performance. The program is completely voluntary and free of charge to the employee to access; the aim is to provide access to confidential counselling.
EAP is a joint program of:
- PEI Nurses’ Union
- Union of Public Sector Employees
- PEI Teachers’ Federation
- Canadian Union of Public Employees
- International Union of Operating Engineers and
- The Government of PEI
- The Regional Administrative School Boards
It also offers wellness training sessions in the workplace.
