The Alzheimer Society of PEI is pleased to offer our new and improved Dementia Care Training Program for health care professionals. This program consists of two 2-day courses (DCT101 and DCT102). Each course provides knowledge and awareness of dementia, effective communication strategies, and hands-on skills to enhance quality of care for persons with dementia. Teaching methodologies include U-First!, GEMS, Positive Approach to Care, DementiAbility, and more. All healthcare professionals are welcome to attend regardless of job title, workplace or years of experience. Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited.
