Proposed Amendments Available for Member Review.
The Proposed Constitution & Bylaws Amendments for the PEINU AGM on April 28, 2026 are now posted for member review. We strongly encourage all members attending the AGM to take some time to read through them before April 28th.
The proposed changes are divided into 3 sections:
- Governance/Structure Proposed Changes
This year’s proposed changes include a change to the Union’s Governance/Structure. These changes include an increase to the number of locally elected positions and the creation of a sub-committee (Executive Committee) replacing the Executive Council. For further clarity of how these changes will work, a comparison between the current org chart and the proposed new org chart can be found in Appendix A and B of the document. - General Proposed Changes
Various changes to language and removal of language. - Housekeeping
Various document cleanup changes to ensure the Constitutions and Bylaws document remains consistent, clear, and readable.
Voting on the proposed changes will take place at the AGM on Tuesday April 28th at Credit Union Place in Summerside. Physical copies of these proposals will be provided to all members in attendance.
