Canadian Nursing Students Association Policy Number

1. Recognizing that the PEINU objectives focus on promoting the advancement of its members’ social, economic, and general welfare, PEINU shall allocate money from the budget for Canadian Nursing Students Association conference sponsorships, with a maximum total annual contribution of $1500, including HST if applicable.
2. Considering the foregoing objectives and criteria, PEINU shall distribute sponsorship on the following basis:
   a) All requests must be submitted in writing to the PEINU office, and must include an explanation of how the sponsorship will be used and be reviewed by the President;
   b) Requests for five hundred dollars ($500), plus HST if applicable, or less may be approved by the President;
   c) Requests for greater than five hundred dollars ($500) and less than one thousand dollars ($1000), plus HST if applicable, must be approved by the Public Relations Committee;
   d) Requests for greater than one thousand dollars ($1000), plus HST if applicable, must be approved by the Board.
3. The recipient receiving sponsorship will be asked to submit a written report to the PEINU provincial office detailing their experience, which may then be used in PR related materials by the Union.
4. In the event the conference is cancelled, or the individual is unable to attend, PEINU must be reimbursed the full amount of the sponsorship.
