New MOA on Vacation Carry-over – What You Need to Know
PEINU has signed a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding the carryover of vacation time. This MOA ensures PEINU members will be permitted to carry over all unused vacation hours earned prior to April 1, 2025 into the 2026-2027 fiscal year, notwithstanding the limits or conditions specified in Article 22.9 of the Collective Agreement.
Members, please note that this MOA is a one-time arrangement and will expire March 31, 2027. Please make your best effort to use your accumulated excess vacation balance whenever possible between now and then.
