Reminder that the following article applies to notice periods for summer schedules:
22.4 Summer Vacation
(a) Every effort shall be made to grant vacation in one continuous period. If the Employee wishes, at least two (2) weeks shall be given during the summer vacation period (June 15th – September 15th). Where at least two (2) consecutive weeks are granted, two (2) regularly scheduled days off shall be given immediately preceding or following the vacation unless otherwise agreed. * Twelve Hour Shift The Employee shall have their regular scheduled days off either preceding or immediately following their vacation.
(b) Employees shall submit their request for summer vacation period to their supervisor by March 1st. Vacation dates shall be posted by May 15th each year. Vacation schedules shall be posted by June 1st each year for the summer vacation period and shall not be changed unless mutually agreed by the Employee and the Employer.
Please notify your local President or the Provincial Office if there has not been notice sent out regarding your summer schedule.
